Collective Futures, Personal Futures

With alarming rates of depression and loneliness in the most vulnerable populations (the youth, the elderly, the ill), the need for futures thinking and hope building is particularly acute.

4 years ago, Sean Moffitt and Rob Tyrie joined forces in the midst of a global pandemic and brought together hundreds of futures thinkers and sensemakers from all over the world to address the crisis, try and make sense of it, and build individual and collective resilience. They founded Grey Swan Guild.

4 years later, this community of professionals is more lively and relevant than ever. Join us at hashtag#DayOfTheSwan 2024 to engage with the future, make sense of the present, and connect the dots.

During our session, with Rob Tyrie and our participants, we will investigate what the everyday job of a futurist entails, share some elements of methodology, and cover how it can apply both on the collective level (corporate, government, society), and the personal level.

We will split into break-out sessions to share ideas and initiatives to integrate more formalized foresight programs in three environments: K-12 education, eldercare, and healthcare. I would love you all to join us and produce real-impact ideas to build better collective and personal futures.
